Fleming West Hires Project Manager for Commercial Roofing & Engineered Steel Buildings

Fleming West has hired John Ponio as a Project Manager for commercial roofing projects and pre-engineered steel building systems.

John brings to the company more than 30 years of construction experience.  Over 20 years were spent in the commercial roofing field. John worked as a journeyman roofer, crew leader and truck driver for more than a decade.  He returned to school in the evenings and completed a 1 year certificate program in Small Business Operations and an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Construction Technology while advancing into supervisory and sales positions in the roofing industry.  He also spent more than a year as a roofing inspector doing on site daily roof inspections for a roof consulting company.  His greatest strengths are his attention to detail and the desire to do what's right for the customer.

John also has over a decade of experience designing and constructing pre-engineered steel building systems while working as a project manager for two general contracting companies.  Since 2000 he has attended many continuing education courses as well as all of the training afforded by Butler Manufacturing and prides himself on knowing the "Butler Difference".

Fleming West Building Co. and Fleming Complete - Building the Community

On Saturday, November 3, 2007 crews put the finishing touches on the Salvation Army Chandler Corps building located near the new 202 Santan Freeway and Arizona Ave. Fleming West Building Company and Fleming Complete, located in Chandler, AZ, teamed up with many other Valley Partnership members to complete this years Community Project.

The project involved creating a safe environment for the kids after school. This included laying an acre of sod to create a multi use field, installing a tether-ball court, rock climbing wall, and much more.

Included in the efforts were a great deal of painting, landscaping, a new fence, remodeling of restrooms, new outdoor sign, etc.
